Project Against Violent Encounters (PAVE) seeks a dynamic Executive Director to lead the agency serving victims of domestic and sexual violence in Bennington County, Vermont. The Executive Director is responsible for the vision and administration, staff development and management, fiscal health, board and community relations, and community advocacy for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. The Executive Director is committed to social change advocacy and critical thinking regarding the root causes of violence in the community. The position is Full time, salaried, exempt, and reports to the Board of Directors.
The Executive Director will have 5-10 years of experience in a leadership position in an established non-profit organization, and is expected to mobilize and continue to build community support for the agency’s mission, values and program. A strong background in community-based non-profit management including securing financial health through developing and maintaining a diverse base of public and private funding is required. PAVE seeks a leader who will build coalitions, collaborations and teams with community and state groups in support of victims of domestic and sexual violence.
PAVE is a well-established organization with great community support, great staff and a dedicated board of directors. The organization is a member of the Vermont Network Against Domestic & Sexual Violence, which supports its member organizations, especially new executive directors. PAVE is located in Bennington, Vermont nestled between the Taconic and Green Mountains, near the Berkshires in Massachusetts, Albany, New York, and a drivable distance to Boston, New York City and Montreal, Canada.
